The Ranking Principle: Getting More Traffic to your Website

SEO or search engine optimization is really all about being relevant. Make sure that you include power keywords into your articles. These are basically keywords people will type on the search engine’s query bar so they can get a listing of the most relevant websites about the topic. This means that you need to know exactly what your niche is. If you’re selling bags, then the keywords “stylish hand bags”, “luxury baggage” , “designer hand bags for less” should definitely be on your list. Try to put yourself in your visitor’s shoes and you should be fine.

Promote your website

There are a lot of video and photo directories online. You can use these to ride on their top rankings. You can also put up social media pages for your stores so these pages would appear on top of the search engine results. Just make sure that you use pertinent keywords too when you name these videos or pages. The descriptions at the side of your profile or at the bottom of your video should also be carefully worded so that they’ll contain essential key phrases.

Earn people’s trust

Aside from attracting search engine crawlers, though, you should also earn the trust of your website videos. Your textual content and your videos must be truly relevant. The keywords should also be incorporated into your articles online naturally. While it’s tempting to just salt a 300-word article with 30 keywords, this can annoy your readers and would most likely result to garbage text. The safest keyword density is 1.5 to 2%. Any more than that and you’re publishing text that’s no better than SPAM.
